SuperZings Character Spraying a Big Splash From a Flask
Coloring guide
This little character has huge eyes and leans across the page at a slant. One finger points straight ahead and the other hand waves near a curved horn on the helmet. A round, bulb-shaped flask with a banded neck is tucked up against the character, and a big stream of liquid blasts out of it. It crashes into a flat, round, cylinder-like object on the left. The splash breaks into blobby, finger-like shapes, with little bubbles and dots drifting around. Bold lines and large splash shapes make it comfortable for small hands to color. You could try turquoise or lime green for the liquid and deep purple for the flask so the spray pops. Save it as a free PDF for some screen-free time at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the large splash mouth on the left and the small droplets with sky blue, then fill the splash arms, stream and drips with light aqua.
- 2Fill the flask body with golden yellow and the neck ring with burnt orange, adding rose red to the band just below the neck.
- 3Color the character's face, chin, cheeks, pointing hand and fingers with peach skin, leaving the cheek highlight white.
- 4Use royal blue and steel blue for the glove stripes and goggle strap, and leaf green for the green glove cuff.
- 5Add mustard yellow to the hair, ear and horn tip, bright red to the raised hand and coral pink to the open mouth.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye whites and highlights white, and add a little darker shading along the flask edges for depth.
