Wimpy Daydreaming About a Plate of Hamburgers

Wimpy stands in front of a wooden fence with one hand held up to his mouth and the other pressed against his coat. He wears a round bowler hat, a scarf, and a buttoned coat. Drops fly off his face, so he is clearly drooling. A big thought bubble above him holds a platter piled with hamburgers, and small steam lines curl up from the buns. A leafy bush peeks out behind the fence on the left. The large buns and the wood planks are easy to color, which makes this a good fit for younger kids. Try golden browns for the buns, a different color for each plank, and a bright shade for his scarf. It also works as a printable warm-up for a lesson on foods we love.
