Forest Friends Admiring a Decorated Christmas Tree
Coloring guide
In a snowy forest, a young spotted fawn, a fox, a bunny and a squirrel all look up at a tall tree with a big star on top. Big bows, drapey ribbon garlands, round berries and pinecones cover the branches, which means lots of little details to color. The squirrel holds a small pinecone in its paws, and the bunny sits up on its haunches near the bottom of the tree. Behind them are snow-covered pines, bare winter trees and distant hills, with berry sprigs poking out of the snow in the corners. Golden yellow suits the star and rich red the bows, and soft browns and oranges would work for the fox and squirrel. Print it for free, with a spare copy or two if you like. - 2Fill the fox's back and tail with bright orange, and color the squirrel's body and tail in caramel orange.
- 3Paint the Christmas tree with fir green, and the tree trunk and deer antlers in chestnut brown.
- 4Color the fox cheeks, the deer muzzle, the bunny belly and the squirrel paw in cream, and the inner ears of the bunny and deer in soft pink.
- 5Add the red ribbons and bows on the tree with bright red, and color the background trees in soft teal and forest green.
- 6Optional: add a little golden brown shading under the deer and fox for depth, and keep the snow, star and eye highlights white.
