Zentangle Tree with Patterned Garland Bands and Layered Star

Zentangle Tree with Patterned Garland Bands and Layered Star coloring page

Coloring guide

A tall Christmas tree fills the page, topped with a layered star and finished with pointed, jagged branch tips along the bottom edge. Wavy bands of garland wind across the tree in rows, and each band is packed with small patterns like vertical stripes, zigzags, tiny squares, and swirls. Round ornaments in different sizes hang between the bands. Some hold spirals, some have concentric rings, some show little flower shapes, and a few have triangle patterns or dotted circles. The smallest ornaments are simple rings. Because there are so many sections, this works well for older kids, teens, and adults who like detailed pages. Try picking three or four colors and using one for each pattern type, such as stripes in green and spirals in gold. You could also color just the ornaments first and leave the garland bands for a second sitting. Fine tip markers or sharp pencils will help in the tiny spaces.
