Wearing a tall chef's hat, an apron and big oven mitts on both hands, a goofy zombie lifts a tray of six smiling gingerbread men out of the oven. His clothes are tattered, with patches and rips on the sleeves and pant legs, and he has wide bulging eyes and a gap-toothed grin. The kitchen behind him has plenty to color: a mixing bowl with a spoon in it, a rolling pin on the counter, three jars in different sizes, lower cabinets and a tiled floor. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the zombie's face, neck, cheeks and both arms with pale lime green, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the shirt sleeves and collar medium blue, then the pants deep purple, and add a pale lime green patch on the left pant leg.
- 3Color both oven mitts and the bottom of the mixing bowl tomato red, and fill the gingerbread men with caramel orange, leaving the apron and shoe soles white.
- 4Color the hair chocolate brown, the cabinets and rolling pin caramel orange, the counter top butter yellow, and the floor tiles sky blue.
- 5Color the oven, baking tray and racks cool gray, the oven door dark slate, and the jars with ivory, pale blue and butter yellow. Optional: add a little darker shading on the oven and floor to make them pop.
