Zook Leaping Forward with His Cone Cannon, a Skylanders Favorite

A grinning wooden-headed character leaps toward you with his mouth wide open, showing rows of teeth. His head looks like a bark-covered stump with a tuft of leaves and ribbon ties sticking out of the top. One fist on the right holds a huge cone-shaped cannon with spiral ridges, and the other arm ends in a long spiked, segmented barrel. Spiky leafy shapes sit around his shoulders, and clawed feet and a curved leaf-like piece fill the bottom of the page. The thick outlines make it easy to follow. Try greens and warm browns for the bark and leaves, then pick a bright metallic color for the spirals on the cannon. It also works well for talking about textures, like rough wood versus smooth metal.
