Zuma, the PAW Patrol pup, paddles through the water in his diving helmet and goggles. He has a scuba tank on his back, flippers on his feet and an anchor pup badge on his chest. Right below him, a big-eyed sea turtle smiles up at him, with a patterned shell and flippers covered in little scales and bubble-like circles. Three small striped fish swim close by, and round bubbles float across the page. The bottom edge has coral branches, tube-shaped sponges and a sandy sea floor. Thick, clear outlines and large open spaces work for younger kids, while the scaly flippers give older kids more to do. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the turtle's shell plates and Zuma's ears and tail with chocolate brown, leaving the plate edges open for detail.
- 2Color the turtle's head, neck, belly, and flipper bases light green, then add grass green spots on the head and flippers.
- 3Color Zuma's helmet, jacket, and air tanks bright blue, with a mustard gold stripe across the top of the helmet.
- 4Fill the lower shell edges and belly with golden yellow, and color Zuma's face and paws pale yellow, keeping the eye whites and the fish stripes white.
- 5Add coral pink and lavender purple to the corals, orange to the fish bands, light blue to the bubbles, and lime green to the seaweed. Optional: Add a little light gray to the tank valves for extra shine.
