American Flag Map of the United States Outline

The outline of the lower 48 states is filled with a waving American flag, with the star field across the western side and wavy stripes running east toward Maine and down to the tip of Florida. The Great Lakes and the Michigan peninsula are traced along the top edge. Above and below are two rows of seven large outlined stars, and the words UNITED STATES of AMERICA sit under the map in open block letters that are easy to color in. For Presidents' Day, try red and blue for the stripes and star field, then leave the big stars white or color them gold. A teacher could also ask kids to point out Florida, Texas, Michigan and Maine on the map while they color. This printable page works well for a classroom bulletin board.
