- 1Start with the body, head, and legs by filling them in with peach orange, leaving the leg highlights and the light areas near the hooves white.
- 2Color the long tail, the mane on the neck and chest, and the front fetlock with butter yellow, working from the top of the mane down to the tail tip.
- 3Fill the cowboy hat crown, brim, and band with warm brown so the hat stands out against the yellow hair.
- 4Add the peach orange on the rump and the forehead, then leave the eyes mostly white, coloring only the iris and the darker parts around the eye.
- 5Optional: Add a slightly darker warm brown along the edges of the hat or a little extra shading on the lower legs for depth.
