Ariel Examines a Little Fork in the Sunken Ship Cabin

Ariel the mermaid leans forward on a wooden floor with her long wavy hair flowing behind her and her tail curled around on the planks. She wears a seashell top and holds a small fork in one hand while looking at it with a curious smile. Flounder the fish floats at the upper left, grinning and looking toward her. Behind them is a wall of square window panes, and one pane near the top looks cracked. Small bubbles drift around the whole scene. A ledge or shelf runs along the back of the room. Try coloring Flounder in yellow and blue stripes, then use soft greens or teals for Ariel's tail so it stands out from the brown wood. This free page is also nice for talking about how to shade planks and glass. The bubbles are good practice for light blue or silver pencils.
