Soldier Taking a Step and Aiming a Rifle, Halo Style
Coloring guide
Mid-stride, this soldier in a bulky sci-fi suit has one knee lifted high and the other foot planted, with a large rifle aimed straight ahead. It's drawn in profile, showing a rounded helmet and visor, big shoulder plates, chunky chest armor, and thick plated boots and knee guards. The rifle has a scope on top and a long barrel pointing right. It looks like a Halo-style Spartan, although the art doesn't clearly show a particular named character. Nothing is drawn behind the figure, so the page is open and easy to print. Small panels and scratches on the armor make it a good pick for kids who like detailed shading. Olive green for the suit, a gold visor, and dark gray for the rifle is one way to go. Print this free page whenever you want a quick coloring break. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- olive green
- charcoal gray
- golden yellow
- steel gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big body areas: color the main armor on the shoulders, chest, arms, and legs with olive green, leaving the thin white highlight lines between plates.
- 2Fill the helmet and the neck area with olive green, then color the visor band with golden yellow.
- 3Color the rifle's main body and the grip in steel gray, and add the scope on top in the same steel gray.
- 4Use charcoal gray for the hip pouches, the belt pouch on the thigh, and the strip down the front of the leg.
- 5Color the boots, knee pads, and gloves in olive green, keeping the small bright highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading in darker spots of the olive green armor to make the soldier look more solid.
