Halo Spartan Chest-Up Portrait with Weapon

Coloring guide
Filling the page is a Halo Spartan in detailed armor, drawn from the chest up and turned a little to the side. The helmet has a visor and vent details, the shoulder plates are big and rounded, and the chest piece carries a small UNSC marking. One arm reaches across the body to hold what looks like a weapon, with a ribbed grip and a small display panel near the page edge. No background here, so the armor is the whole picture. Older kids and Halo fans who like careful work with fine-tip markers or colored pencils will get a lot out of it, since the many small plates are easy to shade in different tones. Military green on the main armor, darker gray on the joints and weapon, and a bright gold or orange visor is one way to go. It's a free page for a relaxed afternoon. Love this Halo coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large green armor areas: color the chest, shoulders, arms and legs with sage green, using light pressure and leaving the thin black lines untouched.
- 2Fill the helmet crest, the top of the helmet and the visor area with golden yellow, keeping the small white highlight spots on the visor white.
- 3Color the dark joints and recessed panels, such as the chest tabs, belt, arm joints and gun parts, with charcoal gray, and use moss green on some of the darker lower armor pieces.
- 4Add light gray to the small lighter panels on the chest, the knee and the belt buckle, and use dark olive on the shadowed parts of the torso and right arm.
- 5Leave the background, the gap between the legs and the lower weapon housing white, and keep the small round bolts and tiny highlights unpainted.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra pressure in the shadowed corners of the armor with a slightly darker tone of the same color to make the armor look more three-dimensional.
