A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big background planets and moons in light gray, sky blue, and lemon yellow, leaving the stars and small gaps white.
2. 2Color the boy's face in light peach and his hair in burnt orange, then fill the helmet visor and rim with light blue, keeping the helmet highlights white.
3. 3Color the rocket body in cream, then add sky blue bands and bright red and orange pennants along the rocket, and fill the flame with golden yellow and orange.
4. 4Fill the balloons with bright red, golden yellow, and sky blue, and color the cake with cream, light pink frosting, and a chocolate brown middle layer.
5. 5Color the astronaut suit with light blue and sky blue accents on the shoulders, knees, and chest, leaving the main suit areas white, then finish the boots and gloves in dark gray.
6. 6Optional: Add small details like the Earth in leaf green and sky blue, and the comet tails in orange, to finish the scene.
