Three-Tier Cake with Five Candles for Happy Birthday
Coloring guide
This is a classic party cake, easy and fun for little hands to color. Three round tiers stack up from small to large, and wavy icing drips over the top edge of each one. Round dots run along the sides like sprinkles or sugar pearls. Up top, five tall candles each have a swirly stripe and a small flame. The whole cake rests on a round stand with three short legs. Shapes are big and lines are bold, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can manage it well. A different pastel for each tier looks pretty, with red, blue and yellow on the striped candles and warm orange on the flames. Use it for party activities, homemade birthday cards, or a quiet afternoon craft. Looking for more? Our Spring and Back to School coloring pages pair nicely with this Happy Birthday page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the cake body on all three tiers and the top of the stand in pale yellow, leaving the small white candle highlights untouched.
- 2Color the three frosting bands: sky blue on the bottom tier, tangerine orange on the middle tier, and bubblegum pink on the top tier, including the drips.
- 3Fill the cake stand and its three legs with light lilac, and add the rim of the stand in the same shade.
- 4Add the polka dots in bubblegum pink on the middle tier, medium purple on the bottom tier, and sky blue on the top tier.
- 5Color the candles: use sky blue, grass green, tangerine orange, bright red, dusty coral, and light lilac in stripes, then fill the flames in golden yellow. Leave the small white highlights on each candle as they are.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading along the lower edges of the tiers and under the frosting drips to make the cake look more rounded.
