Coloring guide
An astronaut floats next to a large space station, reaching out to work on a round hatch on one of the connected modules. The station has a satellite dish and antenna on top, cylindrical sections with windows, panels and valves, and big grid-patterned solar panels stretching out on both sides. Below, the curved surface of Earth is drawn with wavy continents and puffy clouds. Around the station there's a cratered moon in the upper right, a small ringed planet on the left and plenty of four-pointed twinkling stars. The solar panels and Earth's clouds leave lots of room for patient coloring, and the stars are quick wins for younger kids. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the Earth at the bottom: fill the land areas with grass green and the ocean areas with bright blue, leaving the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Color the large dish antenna on top with pale blue, then fill the moon in the corner with silver gray.
- 3Fill the solar panels on both sides with bright blue, leaving a few squares white for a sunny glint.
- 4Color the orange bands on the central tower and the bottom module, and give the ringed planet on the left a golden yellow tone.
- 5Fill the rest of the station hull, cabins and docking ring with light gray, and color the Earth's edge slate gray, keeping the astronaut's visor and suit white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of deep blue along the Earth's ocean and the station's shadowed sides for depth.
