B1 Battle Droid Marching Past an Arch, Star Wars Page

Coloring guide
A B1 battle droid walks sideways across the page, its blaster rifle held against its chest in both hands. Its head is long and narrow, two antennas rise from its back, and the jointed arms and legs make it easy to recognize. Behind it, a large arched doorway made of chunky stone blocks fills the background, and lines on the floor add some depth. Bold, simple outlines suit beginners and robot fans, and the block pattern gives older kids more to do. Sandy beige or tan is a classic choice for the droid, with gray or sandstone tones on the arch so it stands out. Download the free PDF and add it to your pile. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sandy beige
- sky blue
- cool gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the big arch opening behind the droid with sky blue, including the two blue areas on either side of the droid.
- 2Next, color the walls, floor and stone blocks of the arch with sandy beige, keeping the stones fairly even in tone.
- 3Fill the droid's head, body, arms and legs with sandy beige, leaving the thin edges and highlights uncolored so they look shiny.
- 4Add cool gray to the darker parts: the feet, the knee joints, the hip ring, the blaster, the back of the head and the middle torso panel.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra cool gray shading along the lower edges of the floor and the stone blocks to give the scene some depth.
