Little Fire-Breathing Dragon for Charizard Fans
Coloring guide
This chubby baby dragon sits right in the middle of the page with one big round eye and a happy open mouth, blowing a swirl of flames off to the left. One clawed hand is lifted near the fire while the other arm reaches out to the right, claws spread. Behind it, two large pointed wings fan out. Kids can hunt for the horn-like spikes on the head, the little spikes down the back, the striped belly and the clawed feet. Nothing else is on the page, so the dragon gets all the attention, and the big shapes work well with crayons or markers. Orange and yellow flames look great next to a green dragon with a pale yellow belly, and purple or red wings add some contrast. Print it free whenever you need a quick coloring break. Kids who like Charizard coloring pages usually enjoy Pikachu and Bulbasaur too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- grass green
- cream
- orange
- golden yellow
- coral red
- tangerine orange
- pale yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green areas: color the head, body, back, arms, legs and feet in grass green, leaving the eye whites and the shine in the eye white.
- 2Fill the large wing membranes and the flames at the mouth with orange, and use tangerine orange for the lower wing section.
- 3Color the belly stripes, chest stripes and the flame tips in golden yellow, and the tooth and fang areas in pale yellow.
- 4Paint the horns, spikes and all the claws on hands, feet and wing tips in cream.
- 5Finish with the red tongue inside the open mouth and leave the eye whites and eye shine white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading in the belly and wing folds to make the dragon look more three-dimensional.
