Hanging from a twisting vine, a smiling baby monkey holds on with one hand above its head and the other near its tummy, its curly tail swirling behind. A little parrot sits on a branch up above, just watching. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the monkey's face, ears, and body in peach, leaving the big eye whites, the bright eye shines, and the belly-line gaps white.
- 2Color the monkey's head, arms, legs, and curly tail in warm brown, then fill the pink mouth with soft pink.
- 3Fill the big jungle leaves and vines in leaf green, using lime green for the lighter leaves around the vine and bottom corners.
- 4Color the hibiscus flowers in coral red, then paint the parrot's beak golden yellow and its wings and tail in sky blue and golden yellow.
- 5Leave the background white, and add a few small details like the branch, the parrot's feet in slate gray, and the monkey's nose in warm brown.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the leaves and tail with a slightly darker shade of the same color to give more depth.
