A chubby baby unicorn sits on the grass, holding a waffle cone in both front hooves and licking a big swirl of soft-serve. It has large sparkly eyes with long lashes, a happy smile, a spiral horn, pointed ears, a long wavy mane and a curled tail. A rainbow with several bands arches over its head and ends in a fluffy cloud on each side. Small stars float around the page, and little tufts of grass sit in the bottom corners. Big shapes keep it easy for younger kids, and the mane, tail and cone grid add detail for older ones. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the rainbow arcs, filling from the outside in: orchid purple first, then rose pink, orange, sunny yellow, lime green, mint teal, slate blue, light blue, and bright blue on the innermost bands.
- 2Color both clouds light blue and the four stars sunny yellow, leaving a little white border inside each shape if you like.
- 3Fill the horn and its spiral with sunny yellow, then color the mane in bubblegum pink, bright blue, pale lilac, lavender purple, and pale yellow, following the flowing strands.
- 4Color the ice cream swirl bubblegum pink and the waffle cone orange, leaving a few small white highlights on the cone. Add rose pink to the tongue.
- 5Fill the paws and hooves lavender purple, and color the tail in rose pink, sunny yellow, bright blue, and lavender purple stripes.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading by darkening the edges of the mane and tail with a slightly deeper shade of the same color. Keep the face, body, muzzle, eye shines, and ear edges white.
