A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red grill bowl and the light gray grill legs, leaving the small grill lid rim for later.
- 2Fill the wooden fence and the pale tan grass areas with pale tan, keeping the chef hat and background sky white.
- 3Color Garfield's body, arms, tail, and paws with orange, then add the pale yellow muzzle and nose.
- 4Use rust brown for the steaks and golden yellow for the flames, adding orange flames around the grill.
- 5Color the tree trunk with bark brown and the tree leaves with leaf green.
- 6Finish with charcoal black for the grill lid rim and spatula handle, and leave the apron, glasses lenses, and eye highlights white. Optional: add a little darker orange along Garfield's sides for shading.
