Baker Bear Icing a Tray of Donuts
Coloring guide
A happy bear in a tall chef's hat and apron squeezes icing from a piping bag onto a tray of six donuts, with a little tongue-out smile on its face. Every donut has a hole in the middle, and the ones waiting their turn already have wavy frosting patterns. Around the bear you'll spot a big mixing bowl with a wooden spoon, a rolling pin on the counter, a window with a puffy cloud outside, and a shelf with a lidded jar and a potted plant. Bold, clear outlines and roomy shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids working on marker or crayon control. Pink and sky blue frosting would look sweet, and a bright red apron helps the bear pop. It's a free printable for a calm, creative break. - 1Start with the bear's head, ears and arms in caramel brown, leaving the eye whites and the chef hat white.
- 2Color the bear's shirt sleeves and shirt in medium blue, and the apron, piping bag tip cloth and tie in cream white.
- 3Fill the donuts and their icing with coral pink, and color the donut bottoms in golden tan, keeping the little centers of the donuts white.
- 4Color the baking tray and the mixing bowl's shading in light gray, then add the wooden counter, rolling pin and spoon in honey brown.
- 5Use teal for the cabinets, pale blue for the window glass, leaf green for the bush and plant leaves, and golden yellow for the jar and knob.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra caramel brown shading on the bear's head edges for a bit of depth.
