Perched on a big blob of dough, Pusheen wears a tiny chef's hat and looks very proud of her baking. She's the round, chubby cat you know, with tabby stripes on her back and tail, whiskers on both sides of her face and a little curl on her tummy. The dough itself has sleepy smiling faces on it, a silly detail kids can hunt for. A rolling pin lies on the ground close by, and a round board sits behind her. Thick outlines and big open areas make it comfortable for little hands holding chunky crayons. Try a bright white hat with a pale blue shadow, warm golden tan dough and soft gray stripes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cat body and fill it in with light gray, leaving the face features unfilled.
- 2Color the dough blob with pale cream yellow, including the little sleepy face on it.
- 3Fill the cutting board and the rolling pin, including its handles, with warm tan.
- 4Add light gray to the tail stripes and the front paw so they match the body.
- 5Leave the chef hat white so it stands out on top of the head.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of darker gray along the bottom of the body and the tail for a bit of depth.
