Baking Star Cookies With Puppy Dog Pals
Coloring guide
In the kitchen, a fluffy puppy in a tall chef hat is busy rolling out dough, and a smaller pointy-eared pup next to it presses a star-shaped cutter into the dough. Both wear little aprons tied at the back and stand on stools at a big table. A baking tray already holds a row of star cookies, with a mixing bowl of batter and a whisk sitting up front. Look behind them for a window with clouds, a potted plant, a lidded jar on a shelf and spatulas in a holder. Kids who love baking will enjoy this cozy scene, and the stars are simple to color. Golden brown suits the cookies, and the aprons could be bright red or sky blue. Print the free PDF at home for a classroom project or a weekend craft. - 1Start with the big wooden areas: color the table top, table front, window frames and counter edges golden tan, and the cabinet doors wood brown.
- 2Fill the puppy and kitten fur, ears, tails and stool legs with warm orange, leaving the chef hat, aprons and kitten eye whites white.
- 3Color the kitten's ears and the rolled dough with soft pink and pale sand, and the batter in the bowl with pale sand as well.
- 4Paint the star cookies pale gold and the baking tray cool gray, then add grass green to the bushes outside the window.
- 5Fill the window panes and the bowl stripe with light blue, the mixing bowl with sky blue, and the whisk handle with red.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the table and the cookies to make them look rounder.
