Stars Around a Baseball and Bat

Coloring guide
One big round baseball sits in the middle of the page, with zigzag stitches drawn along both curved sides. A wooden bat runs diagonally behind it, from the top left down to the bottom right. You'll find a few lines of wood grain on the thick barrel, plus grip bands and a flared knob on the handle. Five small outlined stars float around the edges, leaving lots of open room for little hands. Thick, clean lines keep it easy for beginners. Red crayons work nicely for the stitches, browns or tans for the bat, and yellow or something sparkly for the stars. A free printable for a baseball-loving kid, a team party, or a calm afternoon. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- warm tan
- royal blue
- golden yellow
- pale tan
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the main bat barrel and the bottom end of the handle with warm tan, using light strokes that follow the wood grain.
- 2Fill the top end of the bat and the small oval cap at the bottom of the handle with pale tan to suggest the lighter wood.
- 3Color the striped grip and the band near the ball with royal blue, going around each white ring so the grip looks wrapped.
- 4Fill all five stars with golden yellow, pressing a little firmly for a bright finish.
- 5Leave the baseball itself white, with its black stitches and clean surface.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker warm tan along one side of the bat to make it look rounded.
