Baseball Batter in Helmet Holding Bat Ready

A baseball batter stands in profile facing left, gripping a long bat with both hands near the bottom of the handle. The bat angles up and out of the top left corner of the page. He wears a hard batting helmet with a short brim and an ear flap, a short-sleeved jersey with a collar, and a belt around the waist. The bold, thick outlines make this an easy page for younger kids, and the large jersey and helmet leave plenty of open space for crayons or markers. Try picking a real team's colors for the helmet and jersey, then talk about why players wear helmets at the plate. It is a nice printable warm-up for a baseball unit, a team practice day, or quiet time at home.
