- 1Start with the big background areas: fill the sky patches and clouds' surroundings with sky blue, leaving the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Color the grass patches and the tree leaves with grass green, and add the dark green shadows under the trees for depth.
- 3Fill the catcher's jersey and the runner's gray uniform with light gray, then color the catcher's mitt and the dirt ground with saddle brown and tan.
- 4Use bright blue and dark blue on the catcher's pads and helmet, and use bright red for the runner's socks, sleeves and collar.
- 5Color the skin tones with peach skin and the umpire's shirt with sky blue, then add slate gray to the umpire's pants and helmet.
- 6Optional: Add a little charcoal shading under the players and steel gray on the runner's cleats, leaving the home plate and chalk lines white.
