Bashful Monkey with Freckled Cheeks and Peeled Banana

A cartoon monkey sits low to the ground with one hand pressed to its mouth and a pleased, slightly bashful look on its face. Its spiky tuft of hair, round ears, big oval nose and small freckle dots on the cheeks are all drawn in clean, bold lines. The other long arm reaches down to hold a half-peeled banana, with the peel hanging open in a few loose flaps. A long tail curls up behind the monkey and ends in a soft hook at the top right. The large open areas on the body and tail make this printable page easy for younger kids to color. Try warm browns and tans for the fur, a lighter shade for the face and tummy, and bright yellow for the banana. It could also start a chat about what monkeys like to eat.
