Basket of Five Patterned Easter Eggs

Coloring guide
At the center of this page sits a woven basket with a tall rope-style handle and a big bow at the front of the handle. Five decorated eggs fill it, each with its own pattern: zigzag stripes, little flowers, wavy lines, big polka dots and a band of hearts. The basket has a twisted rope rim and a brick-like weave on the sides, so there are lots of different spaces to fill in. Bold, clean outlines and generously sized shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or markers. Give each egg its own pastel shade, like pink hearts, yellow dots and lavender waves, then use warm tan or brown for the basket and bright red or blue for the bow. This free printable is an easy pick for an Easter classroom table or a quiet afternoon at home. Looking for more? Our Disney Easter and Fall coloring pages pair nicely with this Easter page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the basket body and handle with warm brown, then fill the lighter bricks and rim strands with wheat yellow, alternating as in the example.
- 2Paint the bow and its center knot baby pink, leaving the background around it white.
- 3Color the back eggs: the left egg with sky blue zigzags and the right egg with lavender, keeping the flower shapes white with a soft center.
- 4Fill the front eggs: the center egg in sunny yellow with medium purple dots, the left egg in sage green with wavy stripes and grass green at the bottom, and the right egg with tangerine orange and pale yellow stripes, sky blue band and hot pink hearts.
- 5Add the small details last: the sky blue band edge and any remaining rim strands, keeping the white flower centers untouched.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of warm brown along one side of the basket and eggs to create a little shadow.
