Batman Standing in a Cave Surrounded by Bats

Batman stands front and center in a cave, facing forward with a serious, scowling expression. He wears his cowl with tall pointed ears, a bat emblem on his chest, a segmented armored torso, a utility belt with a round buckle, and gauntlets with fin-like details on his forearms. His long cape falls behind him and spreads out across the ground. One fist is clenched at his side. Six bats fly around him with wings stretched wide. Four are in the upper part of the page, one hangs near the right edge, and a larger bat with an open mouth swoops in front of his cape at the bottom. Rocky cave walls and a wavy, bubbly stream or puddle fill the background on the left. The big cape and cave walls make roomy spaces for kids to practice shading. Try dark blues, grays, and purples for the cape and rocks, then use a brighter color for the belt buckle so it stands out. This free printable also works well for a short lesson on nocturnal animals.
