A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big skin areas: fill the face, arms, neck, midriff and legs with warm peach, leaving the small white eye highlights unpainted.
- 2Color the hair, bangs and the small hair ornament edges in dark brown, keeping the flower centers for later.
- 3Paint the surfboard sky blue along its right side and bottom, then fill the long stripes running down its length with golden yellow.
- 4Color the tank top turquoise and the sunglass lenses navy blue, and fill the sunglass frames with blush pink.
- 5Fill the big flowers on the surfboard and the hair flower with hot pink and rose pink, add golden yellow to the smaller sarong flowers, and keep all flower centers white.
- 6Finish the sarong and sandals in hot pink, color the open mouth brick red, and add a few bright details. Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges for depth.
