Beach Day Ghost in Sunglasses Making a Sandcastle

This ghost is having a great beach day. It grins from behind big sunglasses, standing at the water's edge with one arm waving at a tall sandcastle. The castle has three crenellated towers, an arched door, little windows and a flag on top. Nearby there's a sand bucket full of sand, a small shovel poked into the beach, a striped beach ball, a scallop shell, a spiral shell and a starfish. Rolling waves fill the middle of the page, and past them you'll spot a sailboat on the horizon, a sun with rays, puffy clouds, a few birds and a small island with palm trees. Beach grass frames both sides. Bright blue or purple lenses would look great on the sunglasses, and a rainbow-striped beach ball will stand out against soft sandy tones. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sandy areas: color the castle and the sand patches in sand beige, and leave the ghost body and its sunglasses lenses white.
- 2Paint the sea waves and water in turquoise and sky blue, color the clouds pale blue, and leave the white foam bands untouched.
- 3Fill the bucket and the boat hull in ocean blue, add light gold to the sand inside the bucket, and color the palm island with forest green and leaf green.
- 4Color the beach ball with tomato red, orange, light gold, sky blue, ocean blue, and brick red panels, keeping the middle circle white.
- 5Add the bright red shovel, orange starfish, rose pink and lavender shells, leaf green grass, and sunny yellow sun.
- 6Optional: add a little charcoal gray shading along the sunglasses lenses and the bottom edge of the ghost for depth.
