Beanie Boos Lion Cub on a Bike with a Flower Basket
Coloring guide
Here's a happy lion cub pedaling a bicycle down a curving park path, with a woven basket full of daisy-like flowers on the handlebars. The cub has big shiny eyes, round ears, a tuft of hair on top and a fluffy-tipped tail. Leafy trees, rounded bushes, puffy clouds and a park bench fill the background, and a few more flowers grow beside the path. Thick, clean outlines and large open shapes make it easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the basket petals, bike spokes and leaves keep older children busy. Golden yellow and orange would suit the fur, and bright pink and purple blooms will stand out in the basket. It's a free printable PDF and you don't need to sign up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the grass, bushes and trees in green (green, forest green and yellow green), leaving the bench area and the right background white.
- 2Fill the lion cub's face, ears, head tuft, arms and legs with honey orange, and add cream on the chest and belly.
- 3Color the bicycle frame and the frame details in red, and the tires and bench in charcoal gray and caramel brown, keeping the spokes light gray or cream.
- 4Add the flower basket in caramel brown and the blossoms in lavender purple, hot pink, bright yellow and cream, leaving the white flowers untouched.
- 5Finish with small details: peach pink inside the ears and mouth, the blue bag in bright blue, the tail in dark brown, and the path in light sky blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the lion's fur and the bench with a slightly darker shade of the same color for more depth.
