Big and Small Stars Over Stripes and Rectangles

A group of stars of different sizes fills this page, set against a background of rectangles and tall vertical stripes. A big star sits at the upper left and a smaller one with a double outline is at the top center. Three more small stars with double outlines run down the right side. A large star at the bottom left has five tiny stars inside it. Every section has a number. The number 1 means blue and the number 2 means red, as the key in the bottom corner says. The outer stars and the large star bodies are marked 1, while the tiny stars and the tall stripes in the middle are marked 2. Try using crayons for the big areas and a sharp pencil for the five little stars. Younger kids can also count the small stars as they color them in, which makes it a quick number practice activity.
