Garfield stands on his two big feet, arms tucked behind his back, with a huge grin across his face. You can see a full row of square teeth. The big round eyes have tiny pupils, and he has a small round nose, two little ears and a few whiskers on each side. Lines are clean and bold, with short stripe marks on his head, cheeks and belly, and his curved tail peeks out behind his legs. With no background, kids can put all their attention on him. Bright orange for the body and darker orange or brown for the stripes looks great. Leave the teeth white and the nose pink for the classic look. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the big orange areas, the body, arms, legs, and tail, with tangerine orange, leaving the belly area slightly lighter if you like.
- 2Fill the head fur edges and the stripes on top of the head with tangerine orange, keeping the eyes and the big tooth area white.
- 3Color the cheeks and ears with pale yellow, then add a soft pink nose at the center of the face.
- 4Leave the eyes, the teeth, and the gap between the legs white so the big grin really pops.
- 5Optional: add a few darker orange lines on the body and tail to suggest fur texture.
