One large eye fills the middle of the page, with a thick curved eyebrow above it and a small heart tucked into each of the four corners. Thin lines radiate out from the round iris like sunrays, and the black pupil in the center has a little white highlight circle. Curly lashes fan out along the top lid while shorter ones line the bottom. Inside the eyebrow you'll spot short diagonal hair strokes. The shapes are big and the lines are bold, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can handle it, and it fits a lesson on the five senses or how an eye is put together. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the ring-shaped iris around the pupil with sky blue, carefully coloring between the dark spoke lines.
- 2Color the thick eyebrow with warm brown, working around its dark hair lines.
- 3Color all four hearts in the corners with hot pink, one at a time.
- 4Fill the small triangle at the inner corner of the eye with light pink.
- 5Fill the round pupil solid black, but leave the small white shine dot on it white, and keep the large eye white and the lashes white.
- 6Optional: add a few slightly darker blue strokes near the edge of the iris to give it some depth.
