Big Top Tent With Flags and Lanterns, The Greatest Showman
Coloring guide
The star of this printable page is a big top circus tent, with one tall flag on the peak and a smaller flag on a pole at each side. Triangle bunting runs across the roof, and scalloped trim edges the front. The curtains are tied back with knots so you can see the open entrance, and a round paper lantern hangs at either side. A winding stepping-stone path leads up to the door, and two fluffy round trees and a few tufts of grass sit along the bottom. Wide stripes on the roof and walls are quick to fill, which suits younger kids, while older ones can take their time with the details. Red and yellow stripes alternating on the roof look great, with bright colors for the bunting and lanterns. Print it free as a PDF for a circus party, a classroom or a rainy day. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tent roof stripes: color the wide alternating panels cherry red and golden yellow, plus the red and yellow tent walls on both sides.
- 2Fill the scalloped valance across the top of the tent walls with sky blue, and color the tent entrance in navy blue.
- 3Color the curtains and their tiebacks: cherry red for the curtain panels and golden yellow for the round tiebacks on each side.
- 4Paint the trees with leaf green foliage and chocolate brown trunks, then color the three lanterns and the top bunting and flags, using golden yellow for lanterns and the pole top, cherry red and sky blue for the flags.
- 5Fill the path with light sand and add tan brown stepping stones; leave the sky and background white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes along the edges of the tent and the trees to make the colors look richer.
