Birthday Cake With One Candle and Sliced Piece

A round two-layer cake sits in the middle of the page with a single tall candle on top, its flame drawn with a little swirl inside. Small round decorations, which look like berries or candies, are spaced around the top edge and a few more sit across the middle of the frosting. One wedge has been cut out of the cake, and the slice rests on the ground in front with its own round topping and a thick band of filling between the two layers. The lines are bold and simple, so younger kids can color the big areas without trouble. Try giving the two cake layers different flavors, like chocolate on the bottom and strawberry on top, then pick a bright color for the flame. This free printable also works well for a birthday party table or a quick classroom activity about counting the toppings.
