Steam Engines Throw a Birthday Party at the Station

A birthday party is underway at a brick train station with arched windows. Two smiling steam engines with round faces sit side by side on the tracks, and a third engine with a grumpy, smirking face watches from the background between two pillars. Confetti and curly streamers float through the air. In the front, a tall man in a long coat and a polka dot party hat holds a tray of small treats. A little boy in a striped party hat stands at a table with a big layered cake topped with one lit candle, plus a sandwich and two small dessert cups. On the right, a man in a cap holds out a plate with a slice of cake. Try coloring the confetti in lots of bright shades and picking a favorite color for each engine. It also works well as a counting game, since kids can count the candle, the party hats, and the dessert cups. You can print it free for a birthday party activity table.
