Blooming Daffodils With Long Leaves and Bud

Blooming Daffodils With Long Leaves and Bud coloring page

Coloring guide

Two daffodils with ruffled trumpet centers open at the top of tall, slender stems, with six-petal blooms facing slightly different directions. Lower down on the right, a third flower bud hangs on a bent stem, still closed and pointed. Long, strap-like leaves fan out from the base, some curving over and crossing each other, with a few small specks of soil scattered along the bottom edge. The line work is clean and open, so the big petals and wide leaves are easy for small hands to fill in. Try yellow petals with a deeper orange for the frilly trumpets, then use two or three shades of green so overlapping leaves stand apart. This printable page also works well for a spring lesson on how daffodils grow from bud to bloom.
