Bob Calling Out From a Little Tractor Cab

A builder in a hard hat and checked overalls sits in the cab of a small tractor-style vehicle and waves one hand in the air. His mouth is open as if he is calling out to someone. The vehicle has big chunky tires, a round exhaust pipe on top, a diamond-patterned front window, and a trailer stacked with boxes hooked on behind. A striped cat with a long curled tail hurries across the ground in the front, close to a tipped-over dish and a few scattered crumbs. Behind them are a building with an arched wooden door and two windows, plus a hill, a small tree, a bushy shrub, and a cloud. Try coloring the cat's tail stripes in two alternating colors and talk about pattern with younger kids. The wide tire treads are good for practicing steady, careful strokes. This free printable page works well for a quiet afternoon or a vehicle-themed lesson.
