Bold 2022 Numbers on Diagonal Striped Background

Large block numbers spelling out 2022 sit in the middle of the page, each digit outlined in black and left white inside. The background is filled with thin diagonal lines that slope downward from left to right, and the lines stop at the edges of the numbers so the digits stand out clearly. The zero in the second spot has a tall, narrow oval opening in its center. The two 2s have flat bases and rounded tops. Because the digits are so big, they are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring each number in a different bright shade, then switch between two or three colors for the stripes so the year pops off the page. Older kids can use the stripes to practice staying between the lines. This free printable also works as a New Year countdown activity or a cover for a goals journal.
