Reading Time with a Brick Monster and Girl, Lego Disney Library
Coloring guide
In a plush armchair sits a big, friendly brick-built creature with curly ram horns and a long knitted scarf. He's reading an open storybook, and a young girl perches beside him. She wears a puffy-sleeved gown with a flower in her wavy hair, and she rests her chin on her hand while looking at the pictures of a castle and trees. The room has tall bookshelves full of books, a globe, a treasure chest, a lantern, and leafy hanging plants. A round arched window shows a faraway castle and mountains. On the patterned rug a cat sleeps, and a stack of books, a candle, and a small side table sit close by. The brick pattern and scarf stripes make lots of small areas for careful coloring. Warm purples and soft blues suit the monster, and a bright pink dress works for the girl. It's a free PDF, so print a few extra copies. Fans of Lego Disney coloring pages often like Transformers and Puppy Dog Pals as well.

- pale blue
- tangerine orange
- medium blue

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue dress: fill the skirt, sleeves and hem with sky blue, leaving the white frills and lace edges for last.
- 2Color the brick monster's body, arms, legs and head with cream beige, then add soft gold on the darker brick lines and under the chin for depth.
- 3Fill the armchair with forest green and the bookshelves, side table and horns with warm brown, keeping the cat's body white.
- 4Color the window sky pale blue, the grass green, and the book pages in light sky blue, leaving the little clouds and castle highlights white.
- 5Add bright orange to the scarf with tangerine orange stripes, and give the girl's hair a golden yellow tint.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading with a deeper tone of each color in the corners and under the folds for a richer look.
