Deer Family of Buck, Doe and Spotted Fawn

Coloring guide
Three deer fill this page, each standing in a different pose. At the top left, a buck with branching antlers stands in profile and looks to the right, with a short tail raised behind him. In the middle, a larger doe faces the viewer with her head turned forward, her big ears out to the sides and her tail swept to the left. At the bottom right, a small fawn stands with its head tilted, and its back and sides are covered in irregular spots. Small tufts of fur are drawn on the chests and legs. The lines are clean and the spaces are a good size for crayons or markers. Try browns and tans for the buck and doe, then use the fawn's spots to practice careful detail work. You could also ask kids to point out how the three deer differ, such as the antlers on the buck and the spots on the fawn. It's a free printable that works well for a nature lesson.
