Bunny Family Picnic with Easter Eggs

Coloring guide
Two big bunnies are sitting close on a checkered picnic blanket, and a baby bunny is snuggled in between them, holding a patterned Easter egg in its paws. A woven basket with a large bow sits on the left, filled with more decorated eggs, and a flowery pitcher stands on the right. The foreground and meadow are full of daisies, tulips and other blooms. Behind them you'll see a leafy tree, bushes, a wooden fence, a few small evergreens and puffy clouds. There's a nice range here for different ages: furry shapes are roomy for little hands, while the tiny egg and petal patterns keep older kids busy. Gray or tan fur would suit the bunnies. For the basket eggs, pastel pink, yellow and blue stripes, dots and zigzags look sweet, and red and white makes a cheerful blanket. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two big bunnies: fill the left bunny's body and head with warm brown, and the baby bunny with light tan, leaving the eye whites and little shine spots white.
- 2Color the right bunny's body and head light gray, and fill its tall ear and the other ear the same way, keeping the cream bellies and paws as they are.
- 3Add light pink to the inner ears and soft pink to the bunnies' cheeks, then color the pink bow on the basket and the pink bow on the left with hot pink.
- 4Fill the background with light green and bright green for the grass and bushes, grass green for the darker leaves, and dark brown for the tree trunk. Leave the white flower centers uncolored.
- 5Color the red checkered tablecloth with soft red and coral red, leaving the white squares white. Fill the decorated egg with pale peach and the vase base with soft blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the brown bunnies with a slightly darker brown along one side to make them look more rounded.
