Camping Nyan Cat Roasting a Marshmallow
Coloring guide
Seated on a log, a smiling kitten with big sparkly eyes and a polka-dot belly holds a long stick with a marshmallow out toward a crackling campfire. Rocks ring the fire, with a few small logs beside it. Behind the kitty stands a striped tent next to a big curly-tailed swoosh of fur, and a rainbow arcs over everything. Scalloped pine trees, tufts of grass, a crescent moon and lots of little stars fill out the night scene. Large, simple shapes and thick outlines make this a good choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Bright purple polka dots and flames in layers of red, orange and yellow will make the fire glow against a deep blue sky. Grab this free printable for classroom time or a rainy day. - 2Fill the pine trees and the tent with forest green and leaf green, leaving the sky and the star outlines white.
- 3Color the cat's face, tail, and paws orange, then fill the inner ears and tongue with coral pink.
- 4Fill the cat's round body with sky blue and leave the polka dots white, then color the stick-holding paw orange.
- 5Color the fire with tangerine outer flames and golden yellow inner flames, the logs chestnut brown, the tan log ends, and the stones light gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along one side of the tree and body shapes to make the drawing look more lively.
