Caped Boy Racing a Black Panther Cub Through Tall Grass
Coloring guide
A grinning boy in a patterned superhero suit dashes through tall savanna grass while a small panther cub bounds along next to him. He has a flowing cape, a round chest emblem, a belt, chunky boots and goggles pushed up on his curly hair. The cub has big round eyes, whiskers, an open happy mouth and a curled tail. On the horizon you'll spot a flat-topped acacia tree and gentle hills, leaving lots of room for background coloring. Younger kids will like the bold outlines and large shapes, and older ones can take on the zigzag panels of the suit. Deep purple or midnight blue suits the cape and suit nicely, with a glossy black cub and golden-green grass. It's a free printable PDF to add to your stack. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the grass and bushes in grass green and lime green, leaving the thin blades in the middle of the tall grass white for a fresh look.
- 2Fill the boy's cape and the cape near his neck and head with bright red, then add dark red on the folds underneath.
- 3Color the boy's suit in deep blue, including his legs, arms, and chest, and use dark red for the chest stripe and red boots.
- 4Paint the boy's face, hands, and arms in warm tan and caramel brown, then fill his hair with dark brown.
- 5Color the lion cub in golden yellow, its inner ears and mouth in light pink, and add sunny yellow to the belt and cuffs. Keep the eye whites, the goggle shine, and the sky and tree trunk white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of golden yellow along the lion's belly and legs and deep blue along the suit folds to give depth.
