Captain America Charging Forward With His Round Shield

Captain America runs straight toward the viewer in this black-and-white line drawing, one fist pulled back and his round shield thrust out in front. His cowl has a capital A on the forehead and small wings on each side. The chest is covered in a scale-like texture with a large white star in the middle, and vertical stripes run down the belly to the belt. The shield is drawn with several rings around a center star. He wears a short-cuffed glove on the raised arm and tall folded boots, with one knee lifted mid-stride. The big muscles and wide open areas make this a good fit for kids who like bold shapes. Try coloring the shield in classic rings of red, white and blue, then use a darker blue pencil to shade the scaled chest texture. The star and stripes are also handy for talking about patterns and counting.
