Captain America Charging Forward With Round Shield

Captain America rushes straight toward the viewer in this bold comic-style drawing. One arm is pulled back with a clenched fist in a thick glove, while the other arm holds a large round shield angled in front of his body. The shield shows a star in the center surrounded by several rings, with a few black shaded areas and small oval highlights. His cowl has an A on the forehead, small wings at the sides, and a mask opening around the eyes, and he wears a confident smile. One leg stretches toward the front of the page with a big boot. The muscles have scale-like texture lines that add detail. Try coloring the shield in classic red, white, and blue rings and ask kids to see how the circles nest inside each other. The large open shapes work well for crayons, and the small details suit fine markers.
