Captain Moroni Kneeling With the Title of Liberty

A bearded warrior kneels on one knee with his head bowed and eyes closed, holding a tall pole with a large torn banner flying behind him. The banner has dotted letters to trace that spell out "In memory of our God, our religion and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children." He wears patterned armor with triangle designs on the shoulder, chest, and skirt, plus crisscross sandals. A sword hangs at his belt, and he holds a bundle with leaves or feathers against his chest. This page works well for a Book of Mormon lesson. Let kids trace the banner words with a pencil first, then color the armor triangles in different shades. The question at the bottom asks what Captain Moroni did after he prayed, which makes a nice talking point once the coloring is finished. It's free to print for home or class.
