Chameleon Catching a Fly with a Long Tongue

Coloring guide
Here's an action scene: a wide-eyed chameleon holds a leafy branch and flicks its long tongue at a buzzing fly. It has a big round eye, an open mouth, a ridged spine and curved stripes over its body, and the tail finishes in a spiral curl at the bottom of the page. The fly hovers right at the tongue tip with two wings spread and tiny motion lines beside it. Big pointed leaves fill the background, so there's lots of room for crayons. Soft greens and yellows work well on the stripes, and a splash of orange or pink on the tongue tip draws the eye. Animal lovers will enjoy this free printable, and it makes a calm activity for home or class. This fits right in with our Chameleon coloring pages — see also Puppies and Cats.
